高能球磨對堇青石基陶瓷的相組成和相變機理的影響

摘 要: 采用X射線衍射(XRD)和掃描電鏡(SEM)研究了由氧化物粉末制備堇青石陶瓷時, 高能球磨及其后續(xù)熱處理對堇青石陶瓷相組成和相變過程的影響, 分析了高能球磨的作用機理; 探明了經(jīng)高能球磨的樣品在低溫?zé)桑?00℃)時, 首先出現(xiàn)了新的中間相鎂鋁尖晶石(MgAl2O4), 1100℃中間相消失。 與未球磨的樣品比較表明: 高能球磨不僅能夠降低堇青石的相轉(zhuǎn)變溫度, 而且可以大幅加快中間相和原料相向/α-/堇青石轉(zhuǎn)變的速度, 同時發(fā)現(xiàn)提高燒成溫度有利于中間相向堇青石的轉(zhuǎn)變。 研究了粉末狀態(tài)對堇青石陶瓷相組成的影響, 結(jié)果表明: 加壓成型易于使Si4+、 Mg2+和Al3+離子擴散, 促進早期的固相燒結(jié)和后期的液相燒結(jié), 并影響各相的相對含量, 有利于主晶相α-堇青石的合成, 但對相的組成沒有太大影響。

Influence of high-energy ball milling on phase components
and transformation mechanism of cordierite ceramics

Abstract:The effects of high-energy ball milling and subsequent heat-treatment on the phase components and the transformation process of cordierite ceramics prepared with oxide powder were studied using XRD and SEM .The mechanism of high-energy ball milling is also discussed. It is verified that a new immediacy phase(spinel MgAl2O4 )for all the milled samples begins to be formed at 900℃ and to be dissolved and disappeared at 1100℃. Compared with the non-milled samples, the high-energy ball milling decreases the transformation temperature and accelerates the conversion rate towards α-cordierite .The rising temperature also accelerates the conversion rate of spinel into cordierite. In addition, the effect of powder state on the phase components of cordierite ceramics was also investigated. The results show that the press-shape promotes the solid-sintering and liquid-sintering and the synthesis of α-cordierite at low temperature sintering, but has little effect on the phase components.
