RARE EARTH RECOVERY BY SUPPORTED LIQUID MEMBRANE

Abstract:A supported liquid membrane(SLM) process was studied for rare earth recovery from di-lute solutions. The SLM technique proved to be suitable for recovering and concentrating rareearth from the solutions containing NaCI or (NH4)2SO4 .The influences of various factors suchas different carrier, concentration of earrier, PH value of the feed solution, rare earth concen-tration, HC1 concentration of the strip solution and flow rate of the feed and strip solution onthe rare earth flux were studied.
