THE CHOICE OF KEY PARAMETERS OF EMC

Abstract:Based on lots of EMC technical tests, the key technical parameters, i. e. pouring temperature, height of liquid metal column, intensity and distribution of cooling water as well as casting speed are investigated. The main results obtained are as follows : 1) The appropriate pouring temperature is 710～740℃ ; 2) The optimum height of liquid metal column is 30～45mm ; 3) The cooling water distribution determined by tests is reasonable and 4) The controlling principle of EMC process is to maintain the height of liquid metal column constant.
