Abstract:The Nb2C MXene film was prepared by tetrafluoroboric acid (HBF4) and hydrofluoric acid (HF) etching and vacuum extraction. The surface structure, properties, and composition of Nb2C MXene were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and other methods. The biocompatibility of Nb2C MXene film was evaluated by in vivo and in vitro experiments. The results show the layered, micro-nano surface structure of Nb2C MXene with abundant hydroxyl groups (—OH) on the surface. Compared with the control group, the proliferation rate of conjunctival fibroblasts cultured with 1 mg/mL Nb2C MXene is 72.15% (p<0.05). The cytotoxicity of Nb2C MXene is Grade 0 (p>0.05), and the hemolysis rate is 0.38% (<5%). The oxidative stress and inflammatory responses in rabbit ocular tissues are inhibited by Nb2C MXene film, which promotes wound healing without inducing fibrosis, and its micro-nano structure promotes cell adhesion and proliferation, demonstrating good biocompatibility.
